Collège Alpin Beau Soleil
A striking modern campus, a famous ski programme and a service ethic that sends every pupil on humanitarian projects.
The character
Beau Soleil is warm, cosmopolitan and slightly less formal than its neighbours. The French section takes the Bac, the English section the IB, and the school makes a point of teaching mountain skills, leadership and the habit of helping. Its pupils tend to be well travelled, well mannered and good on skis.
Good for
Francophone and international families, children who want the mountains without the military tone
Less suited to
Day pupils, children who dislike community life
Getting in
Interview, reports and an assessment; many families enter at 12 or 14. Apply a year ahead for the English section.
What it costs in total
At about CHF 140,000 a year for boarding, the 5 years from 13 to 18 add up to roughly €823,000 in today’s money including typical extras, before fee increases, tutoring and flights. The Education Cost Calculator adds inflation, extras and a second child.
Fees are rounded 2025/26 figures from the school’s own schedule and change every year. The school’s current fee sheet prevails. The picture is an impression of the setting, not a photograph of the campus.
